lyrics

Oh Rosita, miss you so. As long as you and Carlos go without the breath they stole, I will ride that pale horse they call death.

I owned a house, ran a farm, held a claim, I had a wife who loved me. My brother and I worked the goldfields each day, we three were our only family. The miners near by didn't like our blood, thought obeying our rights was treason. So thirty-one men burned a path through our fence and killed poor Carlos and Rosita. They left me for dead but I left with the wind.

The town went quiet for months after that, until a stranger appeared. He had long, dark hair and coal black eyes, kept his hat real low and a shot glass near. One by one, gold miners went missing, and one by one, they turned up dead. Out of thirty-one killers, fourteen were discovered with two holes in the heart and a hole in the head. The rest took to the hills so I took to the saddle.

That stranger ain't any old guy, that's the fucker we left to die.

My name is Joaquin Murietta and I got a blood-stained fucking vendetta. I'm out for any man who killed my wife, brought a whip to my back, bled my brother dry. You should'a made damn sure I was dead when you burned my world, 'cause I lassoed hell and I'mma bring it to your mother fucking door.

I was a miner, she was my girl, they took her away a long time ago. He was my brother, I watched him grow, they took him away long time ago. Violent men stole my family from me 'cause our veins ran a railway of borderless blood. So I'm loading my six-gun and saddling up, I'mma track down and kill every last one of 'em.
